Product Name :
Mouse anti TIAM

Description :
| Clone F5S F6.2 | Isotype IgG2b | Product Type Primary Antibodies | Units 0.1 mg | Host Mouse | Species Reactivity Human | Application Immunohistochemistry (frozen) Western Blotting

Background :
F5S F6.2 is a Mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody derived by fusion of SP2/0 Mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells from a BALB/c Mouse immunized with T-cell lymphoma invasion and metastasis-inducing protein 1 (Tiam1).

Source :
Tiam1, also known as T-cell lymphoma invasion and metastasis-inducing protein 1, is a protein that in Humans is encoded by the TIAM1 gene. TIAM1 is tightly associate with BAIAP2 as a subunit. It contains one DH (DBL-homology) domain, one PDZ domain, two PH domains and one Ras-binding RBD domain. TIAM1 modulates the activity of Rho GTP-binding proteins and connects extracellular signals to cytoskeletal activities. In addition, TIAM1 activates Rac1, CDC42, and to a lesser extent RhoA. TIAM1 is found in virtually all tumor cell lines examined including B- and T-lymphomas, neuroblastomas, melanomas and carcinomas. <

Product :
Each vial contains 100 ul 1 mg/ml purified monoclonal antibody in PBS containing 0.09% sodium azide. Formulation: Each vial contains 100 ul 1 mg/ml purified monoclonal antibody in PBS containing 0.09% sodium azide.

Specificity :
F5S F6.2 is a Mouse monoclonal directed anti the N-terminal region of Tiam1.

Applications :
F5S F6.2 is useful for western blot and immunohistochemistry on frozen sections. Optimal antibody dilution should be determined by titration.

Storage :
The antibody is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4°C. For prolonged storage prepare appropriate aliquots and store at or below -20°C. Prior to use, an aliquot is thawed slowly in the dark at ambient temperature, spun down again and used to prepare working dilutions by adding sterile phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. Working dilutions should be stored at +4°C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance or the concentration of the product.

Caution :

References :

Antibodies are immunoglobulins secreted by effector lymphoid B cells into the bloodstream. Antibodies consist of two light peptide chains and two heavy peptide chains that are linked to each other by disulfide bonds to form a “Y” shaped structure. Both tips of the “Y” structure contain binding sites for a specific antigen. Antibodies are commonly used in medical research, pharmacological research, laboratory research, and health and epidemiological research. They play an important role in hot research areas such as targeted drug development, in vitro diagnostic assays, characterization of signaling pathways, detection of protein expression levels, and identification of candidate biomarkers.
