Product Name :
Mouse anti Yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) TUP1

Description :
| Clone 10 | Isotype IgG | Product Type Monoclonal Antibody | Units 100 µg | Host Mouse | Species Reactivity Yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) | Application Western Blotting

Background :
Immunogen: Recombinant protein derived from the amino acids 1-200 of yeastt TUP1 protein

Source :
Yeast Tup 1p-Ssn6p repressor complex represents a novel paradigm for transcriptional repression and for the role of chromatin in repression. TUP 1 and SSN6 are involved in repression of several diverse families of genes in yeast, including cell type-specific genes regulated by the alphga2 and a1/alpha2 repressors. Ssn6-Tupl interacts with class I histone deacetylases required for repression, and rfecrfuitment of yeast Tuplp-Ssn6p repressor is associated with localized decreases in histone acetylation. Synonyms: General transcriptional corepressor TUP1, Glucose repression regulatory protein TUP1, Flocculation suppressor protein, Repressor AER2, TUP1, AAR1, AER2, AMM1, CYC9, FLK1, SFL2, UMR7, YCR084C, YCR84 <

Antibodies are immunoglobulins secreted by effector lymphoid B cells into the bloodstream. Antibodies consist of two light peptide chains and two heavy peptide chains that are linked to each other by disulfide bonds to form a “Y” shaped structure. Both tips of the “Y” structure contain binding sites for a specific antigen. Antibodies are commonly used in medical research, pharmacological research, laboratory research, and health and epidemiological research. They play an important role in hot research areas such as targeted drug development, in vitro diagnostic assays, characterization of signaling pathways, detection of protein expression levels, and identification of candidate biomarkers.
