Mouse IgG2a FITC Negative Control

Description :
| Isotype IgG2a | Product Type Single-Color Negative Control | Units 100 tests | Host Mouse | Application Flow Cytometry

Background :

Source :
Negative control for immunofluorescence staining with FITC conjugated mouse monoclonal antibodies. Assessment of non-specific binding of mouse monoclonal antibodies to human cell surface antigens. <

Product :
Purified mouse IgG2a conjugated to FITC, as solution in phosphate buffered saline with 0.08% sodium azide and 0.2% carrier protein Formulation: Provided as solution in phosphate buffered saline with 0.08% sodium azide and 0.2% carrier protein Purification Method: Protein A/G Chromatography Concentration: See vial for concentration

Specificity :

Applications :
Consult the appropriate fact sheet to determine the amount of antibodies to be used as a control for PBMC or Whole Blood. PBMC: Add10 μl of MAB/10^6 PBMC in 100 μl PBS. Mix gently and incubate for 15 minutes at 2° to 8°C. Wash twice with PBS and analyze. WHOLE BLOOD: Add10 μl of MAB/100 μl of whole blood. Mix gently and incubate for 15 minutes at room temperature 20°C. Lyse the whole blood. Wash once with PBS and analyze. See instrument manufacturer’s instructions for Lysed Whole Blood and Immunofluorescence analysis with a flow cytometer or microscope. Working Concentration: Titered for flow cytometry

References :

Antibodies are immunoglobulins secreted by effector lymphoid B cells into the bloodstream. Antibodies consist of two light peptide chains and two heavy peptide chains that are linked to each other by disulfide bonds to form a “Y” shaped structure. Both tips of the “Y” structure contain binding sites for a specific antigen. Antibodies are commonly used in medical research, pharmacological research, laboratory research, and health and epidemiological research. They play an important role in hot research areas such as targeted drug development, in vitro diagnostic assays, characterization of signaling pathways, detection of protein expression levels, and identification of candidate biomarkers.
