Product Name :
Rabbit anti Human Calcium Channel

Description :
| Isotype IgG | Product Type Polyclonal Antibody | Units 100 µg | Host Rabbit | Species Reactivity Human | Application Western Blotting

Background :
Rabbits were immunized with a synthetic peptide derived from the rat beta2 calcium channel conjugated to KLH.

Source :
Heterologous expression studies have shown that the activity of voltage-gated Ca2+ channels is regulated by their beta subunits in a beta subunit isoform-specific manner. Our data show that all four beta subunit isoforms associate with L-type Ca2+ channels in mammalian brain. This beta subunit heterogeneity may play an important role for the fine tuning of L-type channel function and modulation in neurons. <

Antibodies are immunoglobulins secreted by effector lymphoid B cells into the bloodstream. Antibodies consist of two light peptide chains and two heavy peptide chains that are linked to each other by disulfide bonds to form a “Y” shaped structure. Both tips of the “Y” structure contain binding sites for a specific antigen. Antibodies are commonly used in medical research, pharmacological research, laboratory research, and health and epidemiological research. They play an important role in hot research areas such as targeted drug development, in vitro diagnostic assays, characterization of signaling pathways, detection of protein expression levels, and identification of candidate biomarkers.
