Product Name :
Chicken anti Clostridium difficile Binary Toxin, Subunit A

Description :
| Product Type Primary antibodies | Units 0.1 mg | Host Chicken | Application ELISA Western Blotting

Background :
Chickens were immunized with highly purified Binary Toxin, A subunit, purified from Clostridium difficile. After multiple immunizations in Freund’s adjuvant, eggs were collected and the IgY purified. Anti-Clostridium difficile Binary Toxin, Subunit A was immunoaffinity purified using the immunogen immobilized on a solid support.

Product Form: Affinity purified Formulation: Phosphate buffered saline‚ pH 7.2 with 0.075% sodium azide Purification Method: Egg-yolk derived IgY Affinity Purified Concentration: See vial for concentration.

Specificity :

Applications :
This antibody has been tested in direct ELISA and Western blot. A 1:4000 dilution was an effective probe for 125 ng of C. difficile Binary Toxin A Subunit. The antibody titre, measured at the midpoint, was 1:56,000 of a 2.0 mg/ml solution (~90 ng/ml) using a 2 ug coating of C. difficile Binary Toxin, A Subunit. Optimal working dilutions should be determined for your particular assay conditions.

Antibodies are immunoglobulins secreted by effector lymphoid B cells into the bloodstream. Antibodies consist of two light peptide chains and two heavy peptide chains that are linked to each other by disulfide bonds to form a “Y” shaped structure. Both tips of the “Y” structure contain binding sites for a specific antigen. Antibodies are commonly used in medical research, pharmacological research, laboratory research, and health and epidemiological research. They play an important role in hot research areas such as targeted drug development, in vitro diagnostic assays, characterization of signaling pathways, detection of protein expression levels, and identification of candidate biomarkers.
