Chickens were immunized with highly purified Lethal Factor A purified from Bacillus anthracis. After multiple immunizations in Freund’s adjuvant, eggs were collected and the IgY purified. Anti-Bacillus anthracis Lethal Factor A was immunoaffinity purified using the immunogen immobilized on a solid support and conjugated to Biotin.

This biotinylated IgY can be used as a detector antibody (1:1000 – 1:2000 dilution) with the Affinity Purifed Chicken anti-B. anthracis Lethal Factor (Cat. # ABaLFA, 1 ug/ml) as the coating antibody in a sandwich ELISA. Optimal conjugate working dilutions should be determined for your particular assay conditions.
